SPS Mango Fundraiser

SPS Mango Fundraiser

This year, the SPS P&C tried something new — our very first Mango Fundraiser! When one of our SPS parents suggested the idea, we thought, why not? Let’s give it a try!

Each tray of mangoes weighs around 7–7.5kg, and they come fresh from the farmer straight to us — no middleman, just delicious, juicy mangoes ready to enjoy.

Orders closed on 6th November, and we’re expecting delivery around mid-December (depending on the farmer’s schedule). Just in time for summer!

A huge thank you to everyone who ordered a box (or two!) of these delicious sunny treats. Whether you’re planning to eat them fresh, blend them into a smoothie, or mix up a fun summer drink, we hope you love every bite.

Thank you for supporting our P&C and helping us continue to raise funds for our school — one mango at a time!

150 year celebration day

150 year celebration day

Celebrating 150 Years of SPS!

What an incredible milestone — 150 years of Swansea Public School!

Our celebration day that was held on Saturday 18th October 2025 was filled with laughter, community spirit, and a true sense of pride in our school’s long and wonderful history. The P&C was thrilled to be part of the fun, running a range of exciting fundraisers and stalls throughout the day.

We held a Mega Raffle with over 40 prizes, a 150 Club, a lolly jar shop, gem trees, a huge plant stall, Mango Fundraiser and the ever popular Flower crowns with nature crafts. The support from our school community and local businesses was nothing short of amazing.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many people and businesses who donated prizes, volunteered their time, and helped make the day such a success — your generosity truly makes a difference.

Together, we raised a fantastic $2162, with every dollar going back to support Swansea Public School students and staff.

A big thank you also goes out to everyone who came along on the day, stopped to say hi, joined in the fun, and supported our stalls. Your enthusiasm keeps our school community thriving!

And don’t forget — if you’d like to help out with any future events, we’re always in need of more hands. Check out our “Helpers Wanted” list to see how you can get involved and be part of the fun!

The most colourful day on the calendar!

The most colourful day on the calendar!

On September 26th, Swansea Public School exploded with colour, laughter, and energy as students took on our much-loved Colour Run!

Mr Harris designed an incredible obstacle course that put everyone’s agility and endurance to the test — and it was a total hit! The Swansea Fire Brigade joined in on the fun, helping cool everyone down, and Colton’s dad, Luke, made us a DIY foam-making machine, turning the oval into a bubbly and muddy wonderland.

From the slime crawl to water pistols, limbo, and dance party, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Of course, the highlight was the colour powder, with parents enthusiastically joining in to shower the kids in a rainbow of safe, taste-friendly colours.

The day wrapped up perfectly with Zooper Doopers all around, thanks to our P&C as students headed home wet, colourful, and full of smiles.

Together, we raised an incredible $2,724, with a huge congratulations to our Fundraising Superstar – Noah, who raised a whopping $520!

A big thank you to Australian Fundraising, who provided our online fundraising platform along with prizes, colourful powders, funky headbands, and rainbow glasses for every student.

And of course, an enormous thank you to all the parents and carers who helped set up, pack up, and bring big energy to the day — we couldn’t do it without you!

We’re already looking ahead to next year — and thinking that Mr Harris needs a big boombox to really bring those party vibes to life. Who’s keen to help us fundraise for a portable speaker system for 2026?

A Huge Thank You to Our Wonderful SPS Community!

A Huge Thank You to Our Wonderful SPS Community!

What an incredible day we had at our Swansea Public School Working Bee on Saturday, 13th September!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to lend a hand — we had students, parents, grandparents, even a great-grandmother, staff, staff partners, and teachers all pitching in together. It was truly a whole-community effort, and the results speak for themselves!

From pressure washing, painting, and gardening to general maintenance, tidying, and barbecuing, everyone worked hard to make our school look brighter, cleaner, and more beautiful than ever. It was a big day filled with many very physical jobs, but the energy, teamwork, and laughter made it all worthwhile.

A special shout-out to Jacquie and Kim, two caring grandmothers of our SPS students, for their generous donation of plants — the gardens look absolutely amazing thanks to you both!

Thank you also to Swansea Public School for supplying all the paint, materials, and supplies needed to get the jobs done — and for keeping our hardworking crew fuelled with a delicious BBQ lunch and cold drinks throughout the day.

Our school grounds are now looking fantastic, and it’s all because of the care and effort of our wonderful SPS community. Your hard work and generosity are what make our school such a special place.

Thank you again to everyone who took part — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank You for Supporting Our Thompsons Bakery Fundraiser!

Thank You for Supporting Our Thompsons Bakery Fundraiser!

A big thank you to everyone who supported our Thompsons Bakery Fundraiser! Your purchases help raise valuable funds for our school and support a wonderful local business at the same time.

While this wasn't our biggest fundraiser to date, it most certainly was the yummiest.

We truly appreciate your generosity and community spirit — every loaf, pie, and pastry helps make a difference!

Father's day Stall

Father's day Stall

Our SPS P&C Father’s Day Stall was once again a huge success — and a wonderful reminder of what makes our school community so special!

As you know, our P&C is made up of 100,000% volunteers, and the Father’s Day Stall truly shows this in spades. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing SPS helpers including some of our P&C team who gave their time and energy to organise, set up, and run this important event for our students.

The stall was filled with plenty of thoughtful choices, and it was so lovely to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they carefully picked out the perfect gift for their Dad, Stepdad, Pop, Grandpa, Grandad, Uncle, or another special person in their life.

Whether students brought cash on the day or prepaid online via TryBooking, everyone got to experience the joy of choosing something meaningful to give — and that’s what this event is all about.

And of course, a huge thanks to our shopping extraordinaire and P&C veteran, Toni, for another wonderful selection of gifts. May your hands finally get a well-deserved break from the dreaded cellophane!

Thank you again to everyone involved for making the Father’s Day Stall such a success. Your efforts help create lasting memories for our students and remind us all how wonderful our SPS community truly is.

Not for the kids! Music Bingo Fun(draiser) Night!

Not for the kids! Music Bingo Fun(draiser) Night!

What a fantastic night we had at our Music Bingo Fundraiser held at the Swansea Workers Club!

Hosted by the wonderful Karen Jefferies, the evening was full of laughter, great tunes, and a little bit of friendly competition as everyone tried to shout out “BINGO!” before their tablemates. The night also featured a raffle, a 100 Club, and delicious food provided by the Rawson Bistro at the Swansea Workers Club — a huge thank you to them for keeping everyone well-fed!

This was an over-18s event, and it was such a great opportunity for parents, staff, and teachers to relax, connect, and have some fun together outside of the school grounds. As part of the SPS P&C, we really value building strong connections within our school community, and this event was the perfect mix of fundraising and fun.

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the night — with a profit of over $1,000, we’d say it was a darn good time all around!

Make sure you don’t miss our next over-18s fundraising event — and if you have a great idea for something new, we’d love to hear from you! The more creative (and fun), the better!

SPS Mother’s Day Stall

As always, our P&C is 100,000% volunteer-powered, and the success of this special event is proof of the incredible dedication and teamwork that make SPS such a wonderful place. A huge thank you to our amazing P&C members and SPS families who organised, set up, and ran the stall for our students.

The tables were full of beautiful, thoughtful gifts, and it was so special to see our students’ excitement as they carefully chose something just right for their Mum, Stepmum, Nan, Grandma, Aunty, or another important person in their lives.

Whether students brought cash on the day or prepaid online via TryBooking, everyone enjoyed the experience of selecting a gift that came straight from the heart — and that’s what this event is truly about.

And of course, a huge shout-out to our shopping extraordinaire and P&C superstar, Toni, for once again curating a wonderful range of gifts. May your scissors and cellophane hands rest easy now.

Thank you to everyone involved in making our Mother’s Day Stall such a success. Your hard work and community spirit bring joy to our students and help create memories that will be treasured for years to come. 💗

Trivia Night

Trivia Night

Our Trivia Night Was a Huge Success!

What a fantastic evening it was! Our Trivia Night Fundraiser ( a child free event) was an absolute blast, and we can’t thank everyone enough for coming together to make it such a memorable event.

Congratulations to our winning team, who walked away with bragging rights and a free beverage kindly gifted by the Swansea Workers club. A huge hit on the night was also the celebration of the teams who were the losing team of each round.   “I get a prize coz we are terrible at this” was a regular phrase, so much that we think some teams tried to come last just to get the fun prize after each round.

It wasn’t just about winning (unless you were the winning team of course), but about coming together as a community to support our school and have a great time while doing it.

Thankyou to Swansea Workers Club for graciously hosting our Trivia event and to Rawsons bistro for the delicious platters of food to keep our trivia buffs in good stead for the rest of the evening.

We are thrilled to have a wonderful local venue that is willing to help our school reach its fundraising goal, that also does the heavy lifting when it comes to safety and responsibility especially when when drinks may be involved.

A huge thankyou to the following businesses who donated generously to our Fundraising Raffle. We are so grateful of your kindness, care and generosity.

Sayas Ink, Blacksmiths Family Meats, Swansea Hotel, Rise Up Fitness, Mai Thai Swansea, Coles Swansea, Swansea Surf Shop, Big Mummas pizza Blacksmiths, Blacksmiths Hardware, Swansea Workers Club

While the night was filled with fun, it also had an important purpose. All funds raised will directly benefit our Students end of year celebration day—The Dream wish list for the Inflatable course and slides came in at $1710, and since we raised a whopping profit of $1672.99 from just 1 Trivia night. We were thrilled to be able to send our SPS students off for the year with fulfilling the dream.

Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers and Sponsors!

Thank you to our volunteers who helped organize, run, and support the event. We couldn’t have done it without you, especially Ricky Andrews!

It’s safe to say that it was such a success, let's make it an annual event!

Keep your eye out for the next one!
